Become a Rescue Resource Person: Find 10 people to donate $30 or more. You will then be listed on our Rescue Resource list as a main supporter of our organization. Almost every rescue facility and humane society struggles on a daily basis to find support to continue operation. The numbers of animals in need is overwhelming and exhausting. Our goal is to have 100 people or more on the list of Rescue Resource People. As a Rescue Resource Person, you will be contacted in specific situations to help us raise funds in emergency situations. Examples might be: A person who contacts our organization with a crisis of a fire, medical emergency or death leaving no one to care for their existing animals. MFAR is setting up an emergency fund to help people and their animals through a crisis. A second example is a situation where a small town humane society gets involved with a large horrible neglect case. MFAR has been involved in the past by providing hands on volunteers to help move animals to safety and has assisted in the prosecution of these cases. In the future, with our emergency fund established, and our list of rescue resource people, we will be able to assist with providing the funding for the care of these animals to take the burden off humane societies.
ANIMALS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION:
We have many animals available for adoption. If you are looking specifically to adopt a certain type of animal, please get on our adoption list. We prefer to adopt to homes in the area, specifically Minnesota and Wisconsin so that we can monitor the success of our new adoptive homes.
Our adoption policy is much like that of any humane society. Must provide life long homes, vet care, no breeding and if for any reason the adoption does not work out, arrangements must be made to get the animals back to MFAR. There is a $1000 pentalty for any violation of the adoption policy.
